MACE: SYMBOL OF AUTHORITY

The Mace is one of the symbols of power and authority in the Philippine House of Representatives. It is displayed just below the Speaker’s Rostrum if the session is called to order. Also, it is used as a warrant to maintain order during plenary sessions.

The Mace is under the guardianship of the Sergeant-at-Arms of the House of Representatives.
