CADET CIRCLE

This is one of the 42 attractions inside the 373 ha Philippine Military Academy in Fort Del Pilar, Baguio City.

The Cadet Circle is a rotunda where you can find a huge “Shaku” upon entering PMA.

The “Shaku” represents the victorious accomplishment of cadetship. Shaku is an abbreviated word and a cadet lingo for “Shabby-Kupal” — describing the mixed character of a cadet.

Philippine Military Academy was created by virtue of Commonwealth Act No. 1 otherwise known as the “National Defense Act” in 1936.

The image was taken on 10 April 2014.
