MEMBERS OF CONGRESS HONOR AND REMINISCE KOBE BRYANT THROUGH AN EXHIBIT

The Lower House of the Philippine Congress honors the late 5-time MVP basketball superstar and 2-time Olympic gold medalist, Kobe Bryant, in an exhibit at the rear entrance of the main building of the Batasan Pambansa Complex.

The exhibit is spearheaded by Speaker Alan Peter S. Cayetano.

A Kobe Bryant fan, Speaker Cayetano has 24-piece memorabilia at his disposal, including jerseys, frames, shoes, miniature figurine, of the 18-time NBA All-Star and basketball icon Kobe Bryant.

The gallery is open from the 29th to the 30th of January 2020.

Kobe Bryant, a former Los Angeles Lakers franchise player, figured in a helicopter crash alongside eight other people including his daughter Gianna in a hillside in Calabasas, California en route to a youth basketball academy on Sunday, 26 January 2020.

The nine casualties were aboard 1991 twin-engine “workhorse” Sikorsky S-76B helicopter when they were caught in a devastating copter crash somewhere in a California hillside.

After being given special visual flight rules clearance to fly around Burbank in foggy weather condition, in the absence of a cockpit voice recorder, they reportedly hovered over a hillside minutes later and were flying at a low altitude, far beyond the reach of radar, before they smashed in a foggy hillside.

Kobe and Gianna are survived by wife Vanessa and 3 daughters, Natalia, 17 y/o, Bianka, 3 y/o and Capri, 7-month old.
