EXN rider Jan Paul Morales wins the Ronda prologue, tops the general classification

Excellent Noodles (EXN) rider Jan Paul Morales tops the LBC Ronda Pilipinas prologue staged in Sorsogon Province. Thus, the Excellent Noodles second man and the former Navy team skipper leads the general classification.

The former LBC Ronda Pilipinas back-to-back champion, Jan Paul Morales, finished the 12.3 kilometer-prologue 16 minutes and 02 seconds, with a narrow 14-second buffer lead against his former teammate, Ronald Oranza, a Ronda 2018 titlist, who was the last to be flagged off.

EXN team Owner, Mr. Alexander Billan, congratulates his newest recruit, Jan Paul Morales.

Initially, Go For Gold (G4G) Ronnilan Quita ruled the race against the clock competition. But still, given his prowess as a sprinter, Morales outsprinted outright G4G Ronnila Quita and ruled the other 103 competitors at Ronda Pilipinas 2022 stage one (individual time trial). Morales registered an average speed of 46.03 kilometers per hour.

Moreover, four EXN riders are in the top ten, like Santy Barnachea (4th), Joshua Bonifacio (7th) and Ryan Tugawin (9th). By the same token, three former Ronda Pilipinas champions, Morales, Oranza and Barnachea, are spotted and listed in the top 10.

Meanwhile, G4G Marcryan Lago dominated the U-23 trailed by EXN riders Joshua Mari Bonifacio and Mar Francis Sudario.

In his twelve years in professional cycling, Jan Paul Morales has earned 21-lap wins and five sprint leadership titles. Now, he is in to win a third Ronda Pilipinas title, bannering Excellent Noodles cycling team.
