Team Excellent Noodles excels on the first day of the two stages of Ronda Pilipinas’ thrilling 11th edition.

The rookie cycling team, Excellent Noodles (EXN), has become a household name in Philippine cycling after dominating the first two stages, with a combined length of 71.7 kilometers, in the southern tip of Luzon.

EXN all-rounder Jan Paul Morales powerfully towed and pulled out all the stops to lead the EXN squad to victory, stunning the Philippine Navy Standard Insurance (PNSI) at that rate.

The newcomer EXN devastatingly outsprinted the PNSI with a clocking of 1 hour, 15 minutes, and 33 seconds. The defending champion PNSI fell behind by a minute and 21 seconds, putting them on the third spot behind the Go for Gold continental team, also the second in stage result.

Likewise, Team Excellent Noodles ruled the Under-23 classification top 4 led by Joshua Mari Bonifacio, Mar Sudario, Joshua Pascual, and Bonijoe Martin.

Among the 104 starters who participated in the 59.4 kilometer-Team Time Trial, only Team Nueva Ecija youngster Xyrus de la Cruz was declared DNF. The unsuspecting TNE rider was rushed to the hospital after colliding head-on with a jeepney ten kilometers to the finish.
